|My name is Kris Shaver and this is my first year as Principal of Buckholts ISD. I am so excited to be a part of such a wonderful school. It is an honor to be at Buckholts ISD where students are valued and treated respectfully. Our teachers and staff are committed to do whatever it takes to ensure our students learn and succeed at every academic level.
I am a graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Bachelor of Science Degree and of Concordia University, with a Masters of Education. Before becoming Assistant Principal at Buckholts ISD, I taught for 17 years in Bruceville-Eddy. The first 4 years I taught 3rd grade and the next 13 years teaching 6th grade Math.
My husband, Quention, and I have been married 6 years. I have two daughters. Katie is a graduate of Bruceville-Eddy ISD and Sam Houston State University. She teaches 1st grade in Bruceville-Eddy and coaches 8th grade girls’ volleyball, Junior Varsity girl’s basketball and girls track. Emilie is also a graduate of Bruceville-Eddy ISD and is enrolled in the nursing program at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She graduates with a Bachelor of Nursing in December 2016.
I believe building relationships with teachers, students, and families is one of the most important keys to student success. Working together with parents and teachers, we can ensure each student at Buckholts ISD reaches their highest potential.
